About us here at Secret Cake Club Perth!
Secret Cake Club Perth is a group of bakers, food lovers, friends, strangers and general lovers of social gatherings, who come together once every 4-6 weeks to celebrate their love of baking. We set a theme, and up until the last moment, the location of the event is secret! We all show up to the secret location with our baked goods in hand, eat as much or as little cake as we feel like! We often try a little sliver of all the cakes that catch our eye, or the ones that sound delicious! Guests are welcome to take as much cake as they like home in the containers they transported their cake in, and are welcome to bring a guest to help us sample all the goods! In fact, we encourage it, so we don't end up with too much leftover cake!
SCC Perth was started by Jacqui (Pantry in Suburbia) and Carolanne (Carolannes Kitchen) in early 2012, upon seeing the widespread success of some clubs in the UK of a similar name. We joined up with them for about 6 months to be the Clandestine Cake Club Perth, where the rule was you could only bring cake to the meetings. After a while we decided that with change in the air anyway (as Carolanne was moving to South Africa), we would do what we had been discussing, and branch away from this model and create our own, and so SCC Perth was born! We have no real rules, guests can bring whatever bake they like that fits in with the theme, and we've had some amazing creations!
To be a part of the SCC Perth, just RSVP to an event at least 24 hours before date, or email us at secretcakeclubperth@gmail.com to be included on the mailing list.

Next Meeting...Date: Sunday 5th of May
Time: 3-5pm Theme: YOU on a plate! Such a popular catch phrase on so many cooking shows, but it opens the possibilities up so much for so many. What are you like? Are you a girly girl with lace and frills, who loves a gorgeous cupcake? Or are you super practical, and love the lunchbox sized uniformity of a loaf cake? Bit of a nerd? Make something that relies on a show stopping chemical reaction! This theme is open to whatever you think is YOU on a plate - sweet or savoury. We're going to make this one a little different, and what you bring does NOT have to be a bake, it can be anything. This is about YOU, so the only rule is that whatever you make has to able to be shared easily, just like a normal cake club! SAVE THE DATE!The next meeting will be on Saturday the 25th of May, 2:30 - 4:30!
